101 Things I Want To Do Before I Die
I’ve been trying to lose more weight to get fit for Abu Dhabi Triathlon and sometimes I been asked how as I already lost a bit of weight before
I am no expert but I will be posting some of the things I believe helped me along the way, they might be wrong or they might just not fit you…
First thing that I want to share is how I measure my exercise intensity, as I see it, it doesn’t mater how long or what distant I’ve done!! its all about my hart rate during that exercise, I need to keep it at a certain level for my body to start burning fat.
So how to monitor/measure your hart rate, well most GYM treadmills have a built-in hart rate sensor that you can use, and if you are out in the open sweating is a good indicator that you are making the most out of your exercise and your body is actually starting to burn some fat.
So you might ask what hart rate should I target? well this is an other topic that I will be writing about later.

Abu Dhabi International Triathlon

One of the things the book listed and I was interested in is “Participate in a Marathon” not win one „ duh

But I am not a runner and neither running interests me so I thought about making it more exciting and decided to participate in a Triathlon

The first step was to find a reasonable race to join, and I found the perfect Triathlon in Abu Dhabi because its near, and I always wanted a reason to visit UAE, and its going to be on 12 March 2011 so I have enough time to get in shape for it

It will be difficult and challenging but I am willing to go for it … I am already enjoying the journey as I made couple of new friends that were interested in the race as well, and I had the chance to get to know that we have a local cycling club here in Riyadh that I will be writing about shortly

A lot has to be done … losing some weight … getting in shape … buying suitable gear .. etc

I will keep this blog updated with my progress so wish me good luck

A Sky Dive over Lake Wanaka, New Zealand … with a beloved person Tracy I came to know a long my trip around New Zealand

…this is also took place on OCT 2008

Ok …

To kickoff the list here is my Bungy Jump from Nevis Highwire Platform, Southern Alps near Queenstown on New Zealand’s South Island

It is the third highest bungee jumping platform in the world at a height of 134 metres

and that was around OCT 08

101 Things To Do Before You Die

About a year ago a friend of mine mentioned this book somewhere and I had this urge to grab it and I had the chance to do so while visiting London.

The idea of the book is not new but here is what I like about it:

  • It gave me cool new ideas for things and challenging to do
  • One of the important things the book stated is that this list is all about things you want to do in the first place, so the book suggest to add your things to do at the beginning of the list and it encourage you to customize the existing list to your preferences
  • The book is designed so you use it as a notebook to track your list progress, the book website also provide you with extra printable pages if you ran out
  • Its supported by a website that can get you updates about new stuff to do, and you can check how others are doing with their lists

These are the things I can think of right now … hope you find the book as interesting and helpful as I did
